This week, I turn 40. It’s not really a big deal to me. Just another birthday. Another year in the books.
But, when I see my girls developing their own styles, & I watch their unique behaviors, I’m real proud of the mom, wife, friend, sister, daughter, & business owner I have become.
It took a lot of hard work, focus, and effort to create the life we are living. I see this photo of Rae & I know I have led by example for all three of my girls that their dreams are possible, conforming to the ways of others is not necessary, and just flat out going for it in life is the way to live.
You see, if you start paying less and less attention to what makes you YOU — your talents, beliefs, and values — and start conforming to what others may or may not think, you’ll harm your potential.
You’ll flat out start playing it safe because you’re afraid of what will happen on the other side of the critique.
You’ll fear being ridiculed or rejected.
When challenged, you’ll surrender your viewpoint.
You won’t raise your hand when you can’t control the outcome.
You won’t go for that promotion because you won’t think you’re qualified.
You won’t stand up and step out in your business because you’re too afraid of what someone will say or think if you do things just a little differently.
A craving for social approval, a desire to fit in, & the paralyzing fear of being disliked will undermine your ability to pursue the life you truly want to create.
I challenge you to ask yourself if you're doing any of the above out of fear and if so, think of ways that you can push the fear aside so you can stand out and be YOU!
FEAR of all the things I shared above is exactly WHY I hired my first business coach. She helped me push through the fear which allowed me to have a $125k launch! She gave me the confidence to succeed, and I did! If you need help pushing through your fear, I KNOW I can help you do just that. Here's a link to more info about how I can help — Pace Setters Society.
Here’s one thing I know. I will leave this Earth one day with zero regrets because I stopped being scared of what might go wrong & I just went for it. I tripped & fell countless times, but I never stayed down. I got back up stronger every single time & there’s SO much more ahead.
What will YOU choose — stay stuck because of fear or stand out and be YOU?
Cheers to 40, y’all 🥂
